National Volunteer Appreciation Week

COMMUNITY LEADERS, MAKING AN IMPACT

April 18-24th, 2021 is National Volunteer Appreciation Week, a time where we can celebrate people in the community who choose to give their time to helping others. We salute you! Virtual high-fives and air-hugs all around.

Over 600,000 nonprofits in the United States rely heavily on volunteer support, and while 90% of people say they want to volunteer, only 1 in 4 actually do. This year let’s celebrate the 25% that made volunteering a priority, and choose as a community to be a part of the impact moving forward!

We understand that life happens and family, work, personal projects, etc. can put volunteering on the back-burner. We also get that it is just TOO DANG HARD and time consuming to find a volunteer opportunity, leading people to not get involved.

Our mission with Swoovy has always been to make volunteering easy and FUN allowing people to connect through shared interests—whether you’re single and want to match with other community minded people, in a relationship and want to easily volunteer as a couple, or part of a work group prioritizing community impact and connecting through Swoovy.
