Save Barton Creek - Virtual Clean up

March 1-7th go pick up trash at a local park or trail and share your experience with us!

Since we can't all meet to clean up together we are asking that you share your clean-up digitally. Sometime between March 1-7, please do a trash clean up. Then send us (1) a photo of your clean up (2) location (3) amount of trash cleaned. Also feel free to tell us anything weird or one of a kind that you found while helping to beautify it! Share on facebook or instagram and tag us! Or, email your photos to sbca@savebartoncreek.org.

Through education, outreach, and advocacy, Save Barton Creek Association is dedicated to protecting Barton Springs, the Onion and Barton Creek watersheds, and the Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer. In addition, we support water quality protection in all Austin and Central Texas creeks.

Can’t volunteer in person? There are also donation opportunities!

  • As part of Amplify Austin (March 4-5) you can donate to the ILHIGH Amplify: Disaster Relief Fund, which will support more than 130 nonprofit organizations whose causes focus on the following: Basic Needs, Disaster Relief & Emergency Response, Human Services, and/or Housing, Shelter & Homelessness.

Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) monetary donations, in the form of financial funds, are still needed at this time to help ADRN provide support to those who’ve experienced weather-related disasters.

The Austin Area Urban League has launched an emergency donation drive, called the #LoveThyNeighborTX campaign, to accept monetary donations.

Front Steps is still operating their blanket drive, accepting new blankets at their downtown location, or you can order the blanket online and have it shipped directly to the shelter.
